Midwestern Greenhouse Gas Accord (MGGA)

The Midwestern Greenhouse Gas Reduction Accord (MGGA) is a market based and multi-sector regional cap and trade scheme established in November 2007 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Goal

• Reduce regional carbon emissions by 60% to 80% below current levels by 2050
